What an 18+ link in bio confirmation actually does.

The prompt is a small dialog on the composed page. It says the destination is for adults, and that they should continue only if they are 18 or older. Continue goes on to that destination. Cancel closes the prompt and leaves them on the page. The dialog does not collect a name, a date of birth, or a document.

If they choose Continue, that choice is remembered for this page in their own browser session. A later tap on the same page, in that same session, does not ask again. A new session can ask again. Cancel does not store a yes.

Turn the confirmation on for a destination that should ask: a subscription, an adult site, or any button you do not want to open without that sentence. Leave it off for a link that is fine without the question, such as a map, a wishlist, a booking address, or an ordinary site. You choose which buttons ask.

A page can also carry one confirmation that asks whenever someone taps a destination, not only a single button. A new Veyro page starts with that page confirmation on. If you want only some buttons to ask, turn the page confirmation off and turn the check on for those buttons. If every destination on the page should ask, leave the page confirmation on.

Anyone 17 or under is outside the service. The prompt does not check that fact. It does not replace records you must keep, the destination’s own rules, or the law where you operate. Veyro hosts the page and the redirect, not the site the button opens.

The confirmation is not the first thing inside Instagram. A tap on veyro.bio/@yourname in the Instagram app shows a blank cream page and the phone’s Open or Cancel sheet. Destinations are not on the cream page, so the 18+ prompt is not on it either. The first tap on the profile link does not open a destination app.

Open continues in Safari or the real browser. The composed page loads there. The prompt appears after that, when the visitor taps a link that should ask. A Deep-link button is that later tap on the composed page. It is not the cream sheet.

If someone opens the same URL directly in Safari or Chrome, they see the composed page without the cream sheet. The confirmation still runs when they tap a link that asks. The cream page is the Instagram in-app moment only. This marketing site stays the light layout.

It is not age verification and not an ID check. It is not a law firm. A visitor can choose Continue. Veyro does not confirm their age with a bureau, a document, or a payment card.

It is not a guarantee against platform action. Instagram and TikTok enforce their own rules. Deep Open does not get flagged on account status, and that fact does not keep a profile up. The confirmation does not restore a removed bio link and does not file an appeal. If a notice arrives, read it in the app that sent it.

The prompt also does not hide the page. The name, the note, and the buttons are on the composed page before anyone taps. It stands in front of the destination, not in front of the bio itself. Bot shield, on a paid plan, is a separate switch for bots, VPNs, and proxies. It is off on free, and you can turn it off in Account. It is not the 18+ prompt.
